Weight watchers and waxing

I went to my first weight watchers class of the New Year the other night.  It has to be said that this is not the first time I have joined weight watchers.  My most successful time was a year before I was pregnant with my first child.  I was sporting a healthy 8 and a half stone figure then but of course I hadn't two minutes peed on the stick and off I went for some cheesecake.  This was over 9 and a half years ago.  So i know I can do it.

Marrow with chopped tomatoes.  Later to be sprinkled with breadcrumbs and cheese.  It was really tasty.
The class was friendly, a few faces I recognised and a few ladies I knew. It was very close to my house so that was handy. I got my little red folder with my weigh in card and booklets inside.  It was a bit like the folder you get when the health visitor comes to see you and your bundle of joy for the first time.

Ive managed to steadily follow the plan though was distracted a bit by a certain person in my house who wanted a Kung Po on Saturday night.  My resolve went later on and i had about a quarter of it.  That's probably my only lapse.  I am happily (kinda) munching my way through a bowl of broccoli just now willing it to taste like it has some cheese on it.

Belle and I went a wander in Kilwinning the other day as I was too early for the dog groomers.  I wasnt sure where this groomers was so went nice and early to get parked. As it turned out I found it within 2 mins so we had a walk up and down the town and through Kilwinning Abbey.   This is how my girl looked after her haircut.  Belles Haircut

Today was the day for getting things done that are a pest but need done.  Blood pressure, bloods taken, eyebrows and top lip waxed.  Ouch ouch ouch!!!  She told me to put my tongue under my top lip.  How do i do that with a piercing.  I visualised some mad accident when she caught the tongue bar or worse my tongue and ewwwww.  I shudder at the thought.  Wandered aimlessly round Sainsburies for 10 minutes, buying the broccoli which has now fell out with me and gone cold.  It senses my resistance to it.  Went for the waxing after the supermarket thankfully as I do look a bit slapped.

Best bit of the day still to come, I get to pick new glasses.  I might actually be able to see.  I don't know whether to go for wacky pink frames or normal frames, the only frames I have saw for a while that I really liked are ones that someone close to me has and it would’nt look right us both wearing them.  Unless I got them in pink!!!!

Cameras, dogs and Llamas

After reading someones blog about how they take their blog photos and the intricacies of their camera is occurred to me that although i take photos with the camera I don't actually know how it works and could I be using its controls better.

My camera is Panasonic Lumix FS15, 12 mega pixels.  Its really compact, does the job, but if I knew how to work it, it might do the job better.    I hear a lot of people using Canons.  Maybe one might find its way to me for my birthday which isn't for ages yet.

For dog walks just now I am currently listening to Minding Frankie by Maeve Binchy.  Talking books are good for me as I can pop one on and just walk with Belle.  50 shades wasn't so good for audio books though, creeped me out a bit.    And I was always paranoid there would be this comedy moment where everyone I passed would be able to hear what was going on.  No, not for me thanks.
Belle on Christmas Eve making good use of the carrot the kids had left out for Rudolph.

As for telly, while working on a marathon ironing pile I watched How to be a good mother
I dont think I was like any of those mums, they home schooled, pole danced, baked placenta and I dont think ive ever taken a picture of one of my childs poo's.  No, never done that.
The last mum looked a bit pissed off though when the presenter challenged her for taking her young daughter out without helmet on the bike.   I did like her though, she designed her own dresses and had her own couture boutique.

The diet is going not too bad.  I must admit to being quite hungry especially at night.  Im a nibbler. Day 7 this is.  Tonight is my first night at weight watchers even though ive been following the plan for a week.  Hope its not too busy, it always puts me off having to 'weight' around (sorry).

Do you like me Llamas.  I bought these the other morning while shopping after my nightshift.  Bad idea to shop when you are that tired, you really will buy anything.  They looked funny and actually taste very nice.  Like a cross between an oatcake and a doritto only thinner.

Happy New Year (thin new me???)

Its that time of year to start the diet.  I wonder how many thousands of blogs are starting with the same topic this year.  Well here is mine.  Im heavy, there is no getting away from it.  I have a fondness for sweet things and easy to eat and make things. Which is fine if none of these things attach themselves to your hips stomach and buttocks.  But fat seems to like those places on me.
A wee guinea pig photo to detract from the fact Im moaning about my weight again.

Im currently on day 4 of the weight watchers diet.  First meeting is next week so its a bit arse for elbow for me but I couldnt wait to start pointing or i might have lost the willpower.

Im not ashamed to say I nearly fell off the scales when they read 73kg the other day.  I was ill, 57 they had been a few weeks ago im sure.  Have a grew something that would weigh that much (no its certainly not that).  I feel as though a cruel trick has been played on me with that one!!

Oh to be eight and so very much delighted by One Direction.
So my blog will be changing direction slightly, still crochet and crafty but with weight watchers, running and the gym too.  There isnt going to be any lycra clad photos though, dont worry.  Well not till Im honed and toned.  Dont check back for that in the next few weeks please.

Sorry the post is a bit picture light, the lighting in the house is just dire just now and with my lovely wee ones being off the school just now the time for photo opportunities is a wee bit rare.

Thanks for reading.
